Rebecca

And the new book is........Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier. We are shaking it up a little with an old schoold read. A little, mystery, romance, and suspense to keep you turning the page. I am so excited about reading this book. It has been a looooooong time since I read it last and it is all coming back to me. I'm enjoying it even more this time. Hope you all are enjoying it too. We are reading through Chapter 9, but since we are not having book club this week, we can decide how far to read for next time. There is a movie to go along with the book, so we can have a book club movie night too :-)

21: Bringing Down the House

I LOVE our new book! It is sooo much fun and it makes me want to go to Vegas and win millions. I'm pretty sure that Book Club is clever enough to get it done. Question: Who will be the spotter? Who will be the Gorilla? (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, then you haven't read your book!!)

The movie comes out on DVD on July 22nd. I already have it in my Netflix Queue, and I thought we would watch it on a book club night--so everyone will have to finish before then!

Alphabet Weekends!!

I'm really liking this one so far. (Hopefully no one gets murdered in the end like our previous book). As I'm reading this book, I'm seeing that there are a lot of differences in the way we speak and the way the Brits speak. It sounds like Kirstin wrote this book...Cloak and Dagger...Read to page 106 for next week!

Friday Night Knitting Club

Hey guys-

Well, we aren't a knitting club...that's for sure.

But, it looks like a fun book!

Not sure when we'll be meeting again--we'll figure something out this week...

Look forward to seeing you all soon!

Then We Came to the End

Hey guys! Our newest read from Brooke! I know that some of us have started already...and love it. I think everyone can empathize w/the office environment. It is eerily familiar to my own. Just to let you know, there is a website created solely for this book. Check it out--it's cool. www.thenwecametotheend.com

So, we're reading to page 97 for Wednesday...read up!

By the way, we're still going to discuss Eat Pray Love. So be ready for that.

Vaffanculo

I LOVE knowing how to curse in Italian. It is sooo fun!! Personally I think she should have just stayed in Italy, but whatever, its her sanity. Brian knows a lady named Pizza, so I guess that almost makes me friends with Luca Spaghetti. Maybe like 6 degrees from Luca S? I started a new post because the comments on the other one were getting really long. I cannot wait to see all of Caroline's notes!! Good topics of discussion!! Peace out and vaffanculo :-)

Eat, Pray, Love

Our new book! I know I've been talking about this one ad nauseum. So I'm finally glad we're reading it! Have you all started?? Can you just imagine eating to your heart's desire in Italy?? I would be in so much trouble. I might eat pizza for 3 meals a day. Of course I would top it off with some gelato. And limoncello. And wine.

Ciao!

DID YOU HEAR??

Did you guys hear that they're making a movie out of this book? It's going to start Dakota Fanning and her real life sister Elle.
It was emotionally draining reading this book...don't know if I can handle the movie.

OUR NEW BOOK!

Our New Read by Rosie!
It will be a nice change for us to read a thriller...maybe for this year's awards we can have Thriller of the Year? I remember the Dean Koontz book we read--this seems like along those lines.
We're planning on reading up to page 110 for next week. I might have to leave the lights on for this one.
