Good Evening Book Club! I think our new blog is going to be too fun!
So, we read up to page 77 of our new book. So far, it is a sweet southern novel. My favorite part is when the main character thinks that Tot looks like a snow monkey. That made me laugh.
Okay, well more than anything, I just want to see how this blog thing works!

Hey guys--I also thought the part was hilarious when Norma says she doesn't want the world to end, b/c Pottery Barn has so many tasteful things these days.

I really like the book so far. It is a nice easy read and the characters are fun and colorful. Ok, I have to go pick some figs now :-)
What I like the most is the characters. The author has done such a good job with making them rich in personality!
By the way, we're reading to page 169 for next week--just a reminder.
I think from now on we should all celebrate Thomas Edison's Birthday. I looked it up on wikipedia. It is February 11th. The old timers in my family watch TV in the dark and keep the house freezing all winter because they think the power bill will be $2,500/month. Elner is funny running her appliances all at once to celebrate his b-day.
