New Book

Jennifer has picked out a Jodi Picoult book, "Plain Truth". We've liked her stuff in the past so I'm sure this will be another great one!

NO FAIR

Hey guys--just wanting to post a weekly update! We are finishing up our book for next week...it is so funny! Some of you have even finished it. And then Jennifer is picking our new book for next week. We're on a roll, but with the holidays coming up, we'll start slowing down, I'm sure, so don't freak out.
Do you like the picture? I put it up there so we would all remember that Brooke is in Hawaii this week. For 10 days. I found this picture online. It could very well be Brooke, I'm not sure. But that would be highly coincidental. And anyways, it looks like a dude.

Our Newest Read!!

So, I hope you are all excited about our newest book! We're reading the first 100 pages for next week. And we probably won't meet next week b/c of it being Halloween, but we'll figure it out--I guess the next week after have the book finished? And then who is going to pick out our next book?? Amanda, Rosie, Brooke, Jennifer? You guys need to decide amongst yourselves!

Okay guys--I know we all have a big reading weekend ahead of us....I am going to have to hustle to get this book done. I just have no idea how it is going to wrap up. I mean, I do, but I don't. I wonder when Dorothy will come back into the picture??

So, I thought I would wrap up the week with something that makes me laugh, Trudy Wiegel. I would love to have her at book club.

Crafty Beavers

This isn't related to Wicked, but I wonder if Charlotte Simmons ever thought about starting a craft club at the university called 'The Crafty Hillbilly Beavers'. She could have used the evil (a theme from our current book) she experienced to create good through mountain-like crafts..........

Hey guys!

We had some good conversation on Wicked last night and from what I hear, everyone is really enjoying it--I'm so glad, I was a little nervous about this one, I have to admit.

Everyone have a great weekend--we decided to read up to page 229 for next time. It's getting good. We all seem to be pulling for Elphaba even though we know what's going to happen. Kind of like Marley and me. I knew that dang dog was going to end up dying.
